George Brown College Scholarships are now available to international students studying in Canada. George Brown College provides awards, scholarships and bursaries specifically tailored to support international students enrolled full time or part time at GBC; full time as well as part time students are eligible to benefit from these opportunities for financial aid so they can flourish academically. George Brown College Awards provide financial aid so students can flourish academically.

George Brown College Scholarships

Students submitting an STU-VIEW application and selecting International Center Scholarships will be considered eligible for any of the awards listed below.

Assist on Scholarship for International Students in Two-year Programs

Assist on Global Service in Canada Ltd. (Kimokran 16 Toronto Inc.) has generously provided funds for the creation of an Assist on Scholarship for International Two-Year Students at George Brown College. This award is open to registered international students enrolled in all two-year programs within this category and for any year of study at this college.

In order to be considered eligible, an applicant must fulfill all the following criteria:

Students must maintain at least a 3.0 Minimum GPA to qualify, as well as actively engaging with both internal and external community involvement projects.

International Centre Student Bursary

George Brown College provides this award to all registered international students enrolled in any year or program at George Brown College.

In order to be considered, an applicant must fulfill certain criteria:

Student must demonstrate financial need. Furthermore, he/she should actively engage in community involvement activities (both college-related and external).

International Student Leadership Award

Award: Open to international students graduating from their program.

An applicant must satisfy all of the following criteria in order to be considered for an award:

Students must meet certain criteria: At minimum, international students with at least a 3.50 GPA and active involvement in both college and external communities qualify.

International Student ESL Scholarship

An International Student ESL Scholarship is given each year to an ESL Program student.

To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Student must be an international student enrolled in the 3rd module and actively involved with both College and External Communities (college/external).

International Student Scholarship

International Centre Student Scholarship is available to full time international students of any program or academic year.

To be eligible, an applicant must fulfil all the following criteria.

International students must demonstrate financial need with at least 2.5 GPA requirements and address obstacles as part of their studies.

Kimokran (Toronto) Scholarship for International Students

Kimokran 16 Toronto Inc. has provided funds for the Kimokran (Toronto) Scholarship for International Students at George Brown College. This scholarship award is open to any registered international students eligible and offers funding support in terms of either second or higher year program registration at GBC.

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Students must maintain at least a 3.0 minimum GPA and register as domestic students; additionally they must actively engage both within their college community as well as external communities (i.e. student groups).

Post-Secondary Scholarship for International Students – Certificate

Students enrolled in any year of study for the Certificate, Post-grad program may be eligible to receive this award.

To be considered for eligibility, applicants must fulfill all of the following criteria:

International students must possess at least a 3.5 grade point average and actively engage in College activities or external community involvement activities.

Post-Secondary Scholarship for International Students – Diploma/Degree

Academic Area has generously donated funds towards the establishment of the Postsecondary Scholarship for International Students. This award is open to Diploma and Degree program students completing their second, third or fourth years with prior work/study experience abroad.

To apply, the applicant must fulfil these criteria:

Students must meet these criteria: 1.0 international, minimum GPA of 3.5 and active in their communities both college-wide and externally.

Scotiabank and the Scotiabank Bursaries

Scotiabank and Scotiabank Bursaries have generously pledged $100,000 (100 bursaries at $1,000 each) toward international students’ tuition costs.

To be considered, applicants must meet certain criteria:

Students enrolled in full-time programs must demonstrate financial need.

Scotiabank International Partner Entrance Scholarships

Scotiabank International Partner Entrance Scholarships are awarded to newly admitted George Brown College postsecondary (diploma, degree or postgraduate certificate) programs; specifically those enrolling from GBC academic partner institutions located in the Caribbean, China, Central/South America or India are highly encouraged to apply.

At the start of each academic year, two scholarships of $5,000 will be presented.

Qualifications
be an international student (with a valid Canadian Study Permit), studying full-time in their first year at postsecondary institutions, with an excellent academic history (3.0 cumulative GPA or above).

Woori Education Scholarship

Students demonstrating academic performance and community involvement will qualify for this scholarship award. To be considered, an applicant must:

Be an international student with a valid Study Permit; register in a full-time diploma or degree program lasting two consecutive semesters and earn at least an overall GPA of 3.30 over these periods of study.
Engaged in activities which have provided positive impactful experiences to other students, their Department/School or College community.

Step 1: Log In To use STU-VIEW, log into your account. Navigating to Student Awards tab in Step 2, click Apply for Student Awards button in Step 3.
Once viewing the Select Aid Year and Period page, carefully read and follow its instructions before clicking Continue at the bottom. When completed, the Select an Application page will open.

Step Two – Create and Update Your Student Profiles

Please keep this in mind: Your student profile will serve as the place where you submit applications for both College-Wide and Divisional awards.

Step 3: Submit Applications for Additional Awards Browse the available awards and submit any that apply to you.
